Here is the link to download the PDF transcript of the testimony Columbine principal Frank DeAngelis gave to the Columbine Review Commission on August 24, 2000. Here is a MS Word version (this may contain some errors, it's been formatted but needs to be re-verified and a few of the speakers are unidentified).
It's interesting because his timeline of events places the shooting starting earlier than the official report, but that's to be expected since we know they shredded the original timeline and witness interviews en masse support that the action started just under 10 minutes earlier than the official Sheriff's report states.
While acknowledging that Columbine was the result of a "societal problem" and emphasizing the need to teach kids to be kind to one another, DeAngelis still maintains that his school had no bullying problem, and Eric and Dylan were never in trouble at school because if they had been disciplined by the school, he'd have known about it.
We know that's not true because Dylan was disciplined on more than one occasion, but this is a man who is severely traumatized and trying to find every reason not to look at himself to see the damage he did by allowing athletes to run the school and get away with serious crimes like stalking, harassment, violence, and even rape.
What I hear in these words is a man who has massive pride in his school and has absolutely no clue about what was really going on, and he's desperate to hang onto that false perception...
